...Not all of my friends and I think not even all of my family knows this story:
When I came to Paris, I didn't have that much and I didn't know anyone, also I hardly spoke any french. (You who live or have lived in Paris know how hard it is to find a place to stay if you don't know anyone). So, one day, I think it was just before Christmas, I was out of money and couldn't pay the rent for next month. I still hadn't made too many friends because I was so busy learning french and getting money for food. My apartment owner was a businessman and didn't care about my problems. The last day for paying rent arrived and I said that I didn't have any money to pay for my next month... and the answer was: "you have two days to find money or you have to leave...".
I was both mad and sad... but most of all I was just trying to figure out what to do. I didn't find any other option than to just buy a camping tent and go live under one of the Paris bridges...
The day came when my time was up. I remember it like it was yesterday. I prepared my camp under the bridge to sleep and I posted on a social network that I was forced to sleep under the bridge Alexandre 3.
This is what happened: A guy that barely knew me through some common friends, and that I had met for maybe 5 minutes maximum, sent me a message and said that I could stay at his place for as long as I needed. His name is Jérémy Marlin. He was my hero the day he sent it to me. Today we are still friends and he is still a hero to me.
Thank you Jérémy 💚
